News about the decision of the University Senate of Porto to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the birth of Professor Gomes Teixeira, first Rector of the University of Porto, and to approve some of the tributes to the distinguished Professor. This is one of the initiatives already disclosed by the School Board of the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto and by the University of Coimbra.
Deliberação do Senado Universitário do Porto de celebrar o 1.º centenário do nascimento do Dr. Gomes Teixeira, primeiro reitor da Universidade do Porto, aprovando algumas das homenagens a prestar à ilustre figura. Esta iniciativa junta-se às já divulgadas pelo Conselho Escolar da Faculdade de Ciências da Universidade do Porto e pela Universidade de Coimbra.
