News about the meeting convened by the Minister of Education, Mr. António Sérgio de Sousa, attended by delegates from the Porto City Hall, a representative of the Porto Trade Association, a representative of the Porto Industrial Association, a representative of the Porto School of Commerce and Engineer Couto dos Santos, from the Technical Faculty, University of Porto. The aim of the meeting, which took place at the Ministry, in Lisbon, was to receive the proposal made by the Minister to establish a "School of Continuation" (basic education school), in Porto, with technical departments run by foreign experts.
Notícia sobre a reunião realizada por convite do Ministro da Instrução, Senhor António Sérgio de Sousa, na qual estiveram presentes delegados da Câmara Municipal do Porto, um representante da Associação Comercial do Porto, um representante da Associação Industrial do Porto, um representante do Instituto Superior de Comércio e o Engenheiro Couto dos Santos, da Faculdade Técnica da Universidade do Porto. A reunião, que teve lugar nas instalações do Ministério, em Lisboa, destinou-se a acolher a proposta feita pelo Ministro, de criação, no Porto, de uma "Escola de Continuação" (escola primária superior), com secções técnicas dirigidas por técnicos estrangeiros.
