News about the extraordinary meeting of the University Senate to discuss the suppression of the Faculty of Arts; a motion in favour of the preservation of the University of Porto and the Faculty of Arts was approved unanimously. This protest movement was joined by the teachers of this University, the City Hall, the Trade Association, students and also other associations in the city.
Notícia acerca da reunião extraordinária do Senado Universitário para se debater a questão da supressão da Faculdade de Letras, sendo aprovada por unanimidade uma moção em favor da integridade da Universidade do Porto e da Faculdade de Letras do Porto. A este movimento de protesto juntaram-se os professores desta Universidade, a Câmara Municipal, a Associação Comercial, os estudantes e, também, outras colectividades da cidade.
