The fifth article by Paulo Pombo on Professor Gomes Teixeira, with emphasis on the development and dissemination of his scientific work and his transfer to the Porto Polytechnic Academy in 1883. Contains brief information on his international achievements as a mathematician, in several publications, prizes and invitations to be part of scientific societies. Reference to his Honorary Doctor title awarded by the University of Madrid, in 1922. Contains a caricature of the Professor in this last event.

Resenha sobre a sua afirmação internacional como matemático, através de publicações, prémios e convites para tomar parte em associações científicas. Referência ao doutoramento "honoris causa" pela Universidade de Madrid, em 1922. Apresentação de uma caricatura da época relativa a este último evento.
