Formal prize giving ceremony to the winners of the University Sports Games, held in the Main Hall of the University of Porto, marking the end of the 4th edition, with the presence of the Vice-Secretary for National Education. The Rector, Professor Amândio Tavares, pictured here giving one of the awards, stressed the need to create, in Porto, an Institute of Economic and Financial Sciences and the reinstatement of the Faculty of Arts.
Sessão solene de entrega dos prémios aos vencedores nos Jogos Desportivos Universitários, a qual decorreu no Salão Nobre da Universidade do Porto, encerrando-se a sua 4.ª edição com a presença do subsecretário da Educação Nacional. O Reitor, Dr. Amândio Tavares, retratado a entregar um dos prémios, salientou a necessidade de criação, no Porto, de um Instituto de Ciências Económicas e Financeiras e a restauração da Faculdade de Letras.
